COG Asset Finance Broker’s Conference – The Wrap-Up
After a three-year hiatus, the 2022 COG Asset Finance Broker’s Conference was back, bigger and better than ever! Held on 6 – 7 October at the impeccable Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort on the Gold Coast, we saw over 330 asset finance industry members gather to Grow, Learn and Connect. Our largest conference ever.
We were lucky enough to hear from a number of engaging keynote speakers who educated and entertained our broker members and lender partners.

The COG Aggregation team also delivered some important updates:
- Andrew Bennett, Group CEO, COG Financial Services Ltd delivered the Welcome Address, gave an overview on the group’s financial performance in FY22 and summarised the many growth opportunities in the asset finance sector in the coming years.
- Mark Rayson, Head of COG Aggregation Services presented a business and systems update. He announced the merger of COG’s two standalone aggregation arms, Platform Finance and CFG, into the one unified business – COG Aggregation. Plus, the launch of the latest features within our new and improved client management and loan application system – COG Connect.
Sessions and Awards
We held several panel sessions that encouraged interaction and questions from our delegates. Special thanks to the Commonwealth Bank for hosting their informative panel with our CEO Ryan Young and for being our Day 1 Diamond Sponsor.
Our broker-only Group Lender Panel session on Day 2 was hosted by Caroline Grima, Head of COG Broker Services and was joined by representatives from Metro Finance, Pepper Money and Westpac.
At the end of the Day 2 sessions, 11 buses took our 330 delegates to our visit and interact with our 39 lenders at our Asset Finance Trade Expo at the Gold Coast Convention Centre. Every lender went the extra mile to deliver a fun and interesting environment to talk all things asset finance.
The AFBC22 culminated with our Awards Gala on the final night. The ballroom was transformed, and we were thoroughly entertained by our event emcee Sam McCool and band The Baker Boys. We are very thankful to Westpac for sponsoring our Awards Night and for being our Day 2 Diamond Sponsor.
