Our History

COG Aggregation was formed following the merger of two asset finance aggregators being Consolidated Finance Group and Platform Finance Group.

Consolidated Finance Group (CFG) was originally established in 2005 and Platform Finance in 2010. Although separate aggregation businesses they complimented their aggregation models with compliance, systems, and infrastructure to support the asset finance broking firms and brokers who were part of their aggregation groups.

Consolidated Finance Group (CFG)

CFG was established when an opportunity was identified by a major asset finance broking firm (whose history dates to 1999) to establish a separate aggregation model tailored for asset finance brokers. The CFG model grew in membership and strength with over $2 billion in aggregated volume generated annually until the business was sold to COG Financial Services Limited in 2016. From 2016 until 2022 (and prior to combining to become COG Aggregation) the growth continued with over $5 Billion in aggregated volume being generated annually.

Platform Finance

The history of the Platform Finance Group dates to 1994. In 2010 several broking firms that were part of the group combined to create one aggregation group. From 2010 until merging to become COG Aggregation in 2022 membership of the Platform Finance group grew to generate $1.7 Billion in aggregated volume. In 2015 the majority shareholding in the business was acquired by COG Financial Services Limited with the remaining shareholding acquired in 2022.
